Mary Cooled and Heated

From an art trade on Neopets, Mary is a spotted kougra with a scarf. As I was on Winter Break at the time, I was really taken by the thought of a kougra peering out from falling snow.

“Everything You Are” by deadmau5 was the song inspiration for her expression and icy fade into her surroundings.

This is the original picture, "Mary Cooled," finished on 1/6/13.
Along the way to "Mary Cooled," I experimented with the backgrounds and realized I could get a good red/blue colorplay going, and so I made this alternate version, "Mary Heated."
The progress animation of this cat; a lot of changes to the lineart were made to get her the way she is today.
